Peterborough Junior Motocross Club held the second of the Winter Series on Sunday at the well-prepared Buttercup Farm track in Chatteris.
Luke Everett was on fire in the autos taking the first maximum of the day with three great rides. Harvey Buttriss was never far behind claiming three second places for his efforts. Third place went to Sam Curtis with three very comfortable races.
In the Junior 65’s Charlie Buttriss regained his early season form with two wins and second place for the overall honours. The other win went to Austin Eary along with two second places for second overall. Last spot on the podium went to Sam Morgan with three consistently good races.
Max Hind continued his good form in the Small Wheel 85’s with the second maximum of the day and three comfortable wins. Ben Beadle also had a good day taking second overall with two thirds and a second place. Jordan Holiday’s results got better as the day progressed, his second place in the last race lifting him to third overall on the day.
In the Big wheel 85’s Daley Coldron took maximum points, but didn’t have it all his own way. Luke Houghton, Aaron Edwards and Jordan Hind all took their turn in pressing for the lead but didn’t have quite enough and finished in that order.
The next maximum went to Sean Satchwell in the Youth 125’s with three comfortable wins on his two stroke. Ben Rollinson stepped up to the mark again with another impressive second place finish. A very consistent Luke Riley headed home with three third place finishes and third overall.
The final maximum of the day went to Kev Lancaster in the Adult group with three very strong rides. Sean Smith followed him home in all three races to take second place. Newcomer to the group, Joe Wagstaff, had another good day taking third overall.
Unluckly Richard Chapman finished the first two races in third place, but spectacularly wiped out in the last race and need medical attention - Get well soon Richard…
The last round of the winter series takes place on November 18th.
