Peterborough Junior Motocross club its annual East of England Challenge 2 day meeting at the weekend encompassing the eighth round of its club championship on the Sunday.
The weekend was made very special by including a special  “ 4 Stroke Mini Bike Challenge” which proved very popular with riders and spectators alike. A big Thank you goes out to Washbrook Farm MX who showed their generosity once again by sponsoring the meeting.

There was a new face in the autos, namely JC Vereugo, who took to the track very quickly nailing the win in all three races. Sam Curtis pushed hard in every race getting second place for his efforts Once again he was followed home by Calum Mitchell who is getting faster every race.

In the Junior 65’s Ashley Rudd started off poorly by his standards with third place in race one, but soon made up for it by winning the other two races and overall on the day.  Cameron Rayner took the other race win, which helped him on the way to second place overall. James Camwell once again showed great pace finishing in third place.

The Big Wheels and Small Wheel 85’s ran together today, but were scored separately.  In the Small Wheel 85’s Max Hind made it another clean sweep with three wins and only two big wheels finished in front of him!  Tom Painter pushed really hard again for a great second place closely followed by Ryan Rudd back from supermoto duty today.

In the Big Wheel 85’s there were three different winners today, Jordan Hind, Aaron Edwards and Max Rhodes. Jordan’s consistency, despite a couple of falls, gave him the overall win. Aaron who also found the ground during the day, still made second overall and an impressive Max Rhodes was third.

In the Youth 125’s Sean Satchwell took two wins, but it wasn’t enough for the overall win on the day after a problem in the last race. The overall win went to Scott Bates with two second places and a win in the last race. Tom Geraghty once again showed consistency is important taking third place ahead of Richard Piccaver whose poor first race cost him a better finish.

In the Adults Sean Hodgson set the pace all day winning all three races, even when he gave the rest a field a head start in the last race. Second place went to Joe Wagstaff who is really riding well at the moment.  There was a good scrap for third place between Mark Rudd and Lewis Chapman, eventually finishing in that order.
