Fantastic weather greeted the riders for round seven of the PJMC club championship at Buttercup Farm, Chatteris, paving way for some hot race action.
All the autos rode superbly well, managing to negotiate the challenging ruts around the track. Sam Curtis took overall victory with a win in the first and last race. Calum Mitchel took a well deserved second overall including winning the second race on the way. With very little to separate them all, Braden Jeremy took third with Thomas Whittaker in fourth after some very close racing.
In the Junior 65’s, an on form Ashley Rudd took a clean sweep with three stylish wins. Second place went to Shane Lock despite a nightmare in the last race. James Camwell picked up the pace as the day went on, finishing with second place in the last race, which gave him third overall, just pipping Callum Fletcher who rode brilliantly all day.
In the Small Wheel 85’s the second clean sweep of the day went to a flying Max Hind. Jordan Moxey keep him honest with three second places despite a couple of falls. Next up was Tom Painter who took the final podium place with some great riding.
In the Big Wheel 85’s Jordan Hind was on top form, leading all three races from start to finish. Second place in all three races went to Jordan Jugg, including an awesome last to second place dash through the pack in the final moto. “Hopalong” David Howard, riding with an injury, was unlucky to miss out on the final podium place after two cracking third place finishes. It was only a fall in the first race that stopped him, leaving the door open for Justin Dillon to nab third overall.
In the Youth 125’s it was the screaming two stroke of Sean Satchwell that blitzed the field with three straight wins. There was a fantastic battle between Peter Cole and Ben Rollinson in each race for second and third place, with Peter just having the edge in all three races.
In the Adults nothing was going to stop Matt White who was back on a two stroke and looked like he was enjoying every minute of it, taking all three wins comfortably. Joe Wagstaff was also on top form finishing second overall just in front of Rob Flaherty.
