Buttercup Farm (Chatteris)
A beautiful sunny day greeted the riders at the magnificently prepared Buttercup Farm track.
A big thank you goes out to
In the autos, Ashley Rudd had the measure of the competition and took overall victory with two great wins and a second place.
William Monroe won the other race and secured second place on the day and Jake Edey was battling hard up front as usual and achieved third place for his efforts.
In the Juniors, Max Hind was the fastest 65 rider of the day and took the first two race wins. Unfortunately, a last race crash left him limping home without a gearshift and dropped him to second overall.
This left the door open for a rapidly improving Caylem Cobb, who nabbed the last race win and the overall victory by 1 point.
Another up and coming hotshot, Ben Stafford, rode his socks off for third place.
Grant Sparrow suffered a similar fate to Max with a last race crash spoiling his day after achieving two second places in the other races.
The first maximum of the day came from the Small Wheel 85’s. This went to Jordan Hind who dominated the proceedings. Jack Gower and Daley Couldron battled for second and third place ending the day on equal points.
Second eventually went to Jack courtesy of the better place finish in the third race. A poor last race robbed Rob Nicoll of a podium finish, but he got fourth place as consolation.
In the Big Wheel 85’s all the front-runners seemed to have one poor race, which left the overall victory wide open.
Sean Satchwell, Luke Riley and Sam Barney all won a race, but it was Sam who came out on top by a solitary point.
Luke dropped into second place and Liam Askew miraculously managed third place despite a nightmare in the last race.
In the Youth 125’s it was business as usual for Craig Bryber who took the only other maximum of the day.
A hard charging Joe Fisher took second place and a very consistent Ashley Moulds was third. Jason Varnham just missed out on the podium despite a second place finish in the last race.
A full line of Adults made for some exciting racing in the dusty conditions. Unusually for Cain Firth he only managed two wins, but still took the overall victory.
Matt white took the other race win and second place overall with some great riding. Adie Thompson finish third despite a poor last race by his high standards.
