Great weather and a finely prepared track greeted the riders for PJMC’s annual Carl Coleman Memorial Meeting.
In the Auto’s an impressive Kathryn Booth took control of all three races with some impressive riding. She was followed home by Samuel Painter who pushed hard in every race.
In the Junior 65’s the first race win went to a flying Cameron Rayner who was chased hard by Spencer Brooking. Spencer stepped up the pace with two wins in the next two races for the overall victory. James Camwell was impressive coming home with a third and two seconds for a fine second place on the day. Cameron finished the day in third overall. The unluckiest rider was Kyde Marlow whose chain broke in race two – He took fourth place in the other two races.
In the Small Wheel 85’s it was Max Hind who cleared off into the distance for three straight wins. There were some good battles through the rest of the field with Tom Painter coming home ahead of the rest of the pack with three second places. Lewis Copper just nabbed third place overall from Jack Atkinson in the final race with some stylish riding.
In the Big Wheel 85’s the wins were shared by Jordan Wills and Jordan Hind. After some great close racing Jordan W took the well-deserved overall victory from Jordan H. Other notable achievements went to Jack Gower with a second place in race one, Rob Nicoll on his new 4 stroke who was always there or there abouts and Sam Foster with a very impressive fifth place. A quick mention for David Howard who was ripping on his new fourstroke until a fight with a post ended his day prematurely.
The Youth 125’s saw some close racing as usual. Ben Jeffs took control of race one from the start. His two main challengers, Billy King & Richard Piccaver went down hard whilst chasing for the lead. Richard finished down the field but Billy was out with an injury – get well soon Billy. John Hall took full advantage taking a solid second place and Cameron Harris was third. In Race two and three Richard came home with both wins followed by Ben who knew two second places would be enough for the overall win.
In the Adults Kevin Lancaster showed everyone the way home with three solid wins. Joe wagsatff was riding exceptionally well, coming home with two second places and a third place for second overall. Jamie Milne has also stepped up the pace with three great rides for the last place on the podium
