Peterborough Junior Motocross Club

Championship Round 4

Buttercup Farm – Chatteris

9th April 2006

Round four of the club championship was held at the technical Buttercup Farm track on Sunday.

The track was very different from the previous meetings, being very dry, dusty and slippy from the off.

The Auto group had the first maximum man of the day with Troy Willerton winning all three races.

Ashley Rudd and Jake Edey fought hard for second and third place and finished in that order.

The Junior 65 class had some great close racing. Max Hind had great starts and won the first & third race and took the overall honours.

Grant Sparrow took the other race win and second overall on the day.

Young Caylem Cobb is getting faster every meeting and his two second places put him on the podium in third place.

The Small Wheel 85’s was a two horse race between Daley Coldron and Jordan Hind.

Daley won race one and two convincingly, whilst Jordan hit the deck on a couple of occasions.

Jordan upped his pace in race three and took the win and second overall. Consistent George Redhead rode really hard for a well-deserved third place.

The Big Wheel 85’s turned out to be a little bit of a lottery with several riders (including some of the front runners) having points deducted for riding in the pits.

Stuart Winik took the overall win with some fine riding. Sam Barneys consistency earned him second place and Luke Riley who is always there or thereabouts took the final place on the podium.

Sean Satchwell who already had a first and a second place to his name, dropped down to fourth overall after mechanical gremlins hit again.

In the Schoolboy 125’s, Craig Bryber stole the show.  He took first place in race one and two but dropped it at the first corner in the last race.

However a mad dash through the pack to third place secured him the overall victory.

Josh Macdonald won the last race, but this was only good enough for third overall as super consistent Gavin Foulston’s three second places was enough to take second place on the day.

The Adults group saw the only other maximum of the day, which came from Cain Firth in his usual fast relaxed riding style.

Matty White pushed as hard as he could for three second places and yet again Martin Edey gave most of the youngsters a riding lesson, by taking third place.
