Absolutely
perfect track conditions greeted the 160 + riders at the second round of the
PJMC club championship
held at
the superb Buttercup Farm track.
On
form Jack Camwell took maximum points in the auto
class with a fine riding display.
Ashley
Rudd, who is getting faster with every race, pushed hard for second place and
Troy
Willerton improved his position each race throughout
the day to claim third overall.
The
Juniors had some of the closest racing of the day. The
top six riders swapped places all day.
Grant
Sparrow took two race wins and the overall victory, which was well overdue.
Adam
Johnston took the other race win and second overall and Matthew Greens
consistency earned him third place.
A
special mention for Caylem Cobb who holeshot two races and led one from start to finish until a
last lap crash spoilt his day.
The small wheel 85’s also had some tight racing. Jordan Hind
won the first race closely followed by Ryan Houghton.
This was reversed in the second race, which meant the
overall result went down to the last race.
Ryan got a great
start and took the last race win and the overall.
The
Big Wheel 85’s Jamie Houghton had a great battle with Sean Satchwell
in every race.
Jamie
got the overall victory with two wins and a second place. Sean took the other
win and got second overall for his efforts.
Kris Goldsmith and Hollie
Pentelow swapped thirds and fourths during the day
and finished in that order.
Josh
McDonald won two of the Schoolboy 125 races and took the overall honours
despite a huge crash through the whoops in the second race.
Joe
Wagstaff was really consistent all day, which landed
him second place.
Robert
Clark capitalised on Josh McDonald’s mistake in the second race with an
excellent win, which bumped him up to third place for the day.
Last
but not least, the Adults. Once again Cain Firth pulled through to the front in
every race despite not getting brilliant starts.
Martin Edey showed
the youngsters how to ride with a fine second place finish.
The
Chapman brothers, Richard and Lewis, pushed hard all day for third and fourth
place.
An unlucky Shaun Smith had a bad first race,
which dropped him down the field despite a second and third place in races 2
& 3.
