Peterborough Junior Motocross Club
2007 Championship Round 10
Butter Cup Farm Chatteris
2nd Sept 2007

Peterborough Junior Motocross Club held the tenth and penultimate round of the club championship at the weekend at the superbly prepared Buttercup Farm track, Chatteris.  A few new faces and some great weather gave way to some great racing.

In the auto’s newcomer Ben Coleman gave a blistering performance with the first maximum of the day. Louis Judd had a great second place in the first race but dropped down the order in the other races whilst a flying Luke Everett and Harvey Buttriss battled hard for second and third places. Harvey had a few tumbles and eventually lost out to Luke on a tiebreak after they both scored the same points.

In the Junior 65’s a confident and stylish Max Target took a well overdue overall win with two firsts and a second place. Another New comer  Sam Morgan rode superbly and took the other win and led race three for some time which was enough for second overall. Third place went to a consistent Charlie Buttriss who was battling with the top runners all day.

Jordan Hind had a great day in the SW 85’s.He took all three wins with a dominating performance also notching up his 100th race win around the chatteris track in the process. Younger brother Max was also on form finishing second overall including a last to third place dash after a start corner crash in the last race. Justin Dillon had another great day finishing third overall after some great battles with  Ben Stafford who finished fourth despite a few offs.

The BW 85’s saw an awesome display by Connor Butler who took all three race wins. Ben Rollinson had a poor first race by his standards finishing in fourth place, but a further two second place finishes was enough for second overall. Daley Coldron topped out the podium with some good strong rides. Aaron Edwards and Will Griffin both deserve as mention after achieving top three finishes against some strong competition.

The Youth 125’s saw some great action throughout the day. Pete Cole took the first race win by the narrowest of margins over Joe Wagstaff, whilst Lee Sharpe made a mistake & only finished fourth. However, wins in the second and third races were enough for Lee to take a well deserved overall win. Joe was on fire today and finished a very close second in every race resulting in second spot on the podium, one place in front of Pete.

Kev Lancaster set the pace in the Adults taking two race wins and the overall with some great riding. A consistent Darren Manning Coe pushed hard in every race and took second overall for his efforts. The Chapman brothers Richard and Lewis, also had a great day with Richard taking a well overdue race win and fourth spot overall, one point behind super smooth brother Lewis who finished third overall with a 2/3/3 scorecard.
